The rundown
Tälta Lodge is a Bluebird by Lark property on Mountain Road in Stowe, set along the Little River beneath Mount Mansfield, Vermont's highest peak. It reimagines the 1960s ski lodge with dark timber, big windows and fireside lounges across about 50 guest rooms and suites. Nine standalone stuga cottages add kitchenettes, heated bathroom floors and private patios with their own fire pits. Guests share an indoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, sauna, yoga room and cocktail bar, a few minutes from the slopes and the village.
