The rundown
The Gladstone is a classic doctor's-bag weekender in full-grain, vegetable-tanned Italian leather, tanned and finished in Ponte a Egola. A solid brass hinged frame lets the top open wide so you can see everything inside, and the seams are reinforced with hand-hammered solid copper rivets. Inside it's lined in tobacco suede with a zip pocket and two open pockets. At 20 by 12 by 10 inches it fits carry-on limits, comes with an adjustable leather shoulder strap and a removable key clip, and carries a lifetime warranty.
